Home to more than 1,600 students, the Pelham School District is composed of Pelham Elementary School serving preschool through grade 5, Pelham Memorial School serving students in grades 6 through 8, and Pelham High School serving students in grades 9 through 12. About the Position:
This position is based at Pelham Memorial School. Under general supervision, the successful candidate is responsible for keeping the premises of the school building and grounds in a clean and orderly condition to support the education, extra curricular and co-curricular programs of the school district. The applicant must be reliable and be able to follow instruction. Snow removal is an essential function (requirement) for all custodial positions in the District. Physical and essential functions of this role are outlined below.
Perform custodial duties as outlined in the Pelham School District Facility Maintenance Plan including, but not limited to:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, custodial experience preferred. Ability to apply information contained within a material safety data sheet as it relates to hazardous materials. The successful candidate will have the ability to lift up to 50-lbs frequently and over 50-lbs on occasion. Additional physical requirements include but are not limited to: bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling. This role will utilize sufficient written and verbal communication skills from time to time.

Our selection process typically includes an initial interview followed by an interview with school administration and the Superintendent of Schools. The final step in our hiring process is recommendation to the School Board.
