    Manchester University is seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian to join our Facilities team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall welcoming environment of our campus. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute positively whether working independently or as part of a team.

    What You'll Do:

    • Clean and service restrooms, classrooms, study areas, lounges, lobbies, stairwells, and hallways.

    • Maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

    • Re-stock restroom supplies and ensure dispensers are clean and functional.

    • Collect and remove trash from indoor and outdoor containers.

    • Clean windows, glass, walls, vents, and other surfaces.

    • Follow established cleaning schedules and ensure areas meet university standards.

    • Unlock and open facilities as assigned.

    • Perform floor care (stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning) and seasonal cleaning projects.

    • Maintain custodial closets and launder cleaning materials as needed.

    What You'll Need:

    • High school diploma or GED required.

    • At least 1 year of custodial or related experience preferred.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

    • Reliable, trustworthy, and team-oriented with a positive attitude.

    • Basic computer skills and the ability to check email regularly.

    • Must be able to lift 20+ pounds, climb stairs, bend, push, and walk for extended periods.
