Litchfield High School is now hiring for a custodial position. Monday- Friday 2:30pm- 11:00pm

Starting wage is $19.76 per hour effective July 1, 2026.

Position Details

• 12 month position

• JOB DESCRIPTION: CUSTODIAL I

• SWEEP CLASSROOMS, HALLWAYS, GYM AND CAFETERIA

• VACUUM ALL RUGS AND CARPETED AREAS

• MOP FLOORS

• CLEAN AND MOP RESTROOMS

• EMPTY WASTE BASKETS

• CLEAN WINDOWS

• CLEAN CLASSROOM SINKS, FILL PAPER TOWELS

• SCRUB FLOORS & SHAMPOO CARPETS

• SET UP AND TAKE DOWN FOR ACTIVITIES

• SECURE/LOCK UP BUILDING AT NIGHT

• OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

• NO MAINTENANCE

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Experience in operating general cleaning equipment
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Able to perform essential job functions such as lifting, bending and standing
• Take direction and maintain a level of professionalism at all time
