Additional Duties:
Staff members are also expected to submit supply requests on predetermined dates using departmental request forms. Laundry should be turned in for cleaning and retrieved per supervisory direction, and staff must monitor equipment for malfunctions, provide updates to supervisors or team leaders, and report equipment location changes or repair needs. Staff members are expected to diagnose minor equipment issues (e.g., vacuum cleaner bags/filters) and clean equipment/storage closets per departmental schedules.

Greets customers promptly and courteously. Receive visitors and general public in a courteous, professional and helpful manner daily. Maintains a positive attitude and demeanor and displays excellent customer service skills to colleagues, students, staff and visitors daily. Assists in preparing spaces for special events, receptions, and official functions. Also handles additional housekeeping tasks as requested.

Reports any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.
Staff members will also be expected to perform computer‑related tasks as assigned, such as digital time reporting, online training, performance appraisal tasks, and reading/acknowledging messages from the university/department.

Demonstrates an understanding of and maintains conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment. Ensures equipment is working properly and report malfunctions of equipment as it occurs. Adheres to departmental policy as it pertains to only using chemicals and supplies provided specifically by the department.
