What Youll Do In this role, youll help ensure campus facilities remain clean, sanitary, and welcoming by:
Operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and pressure washers. Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting classrooms, offices, common areas, and other campus facilities. Maintaining high-touch surfaces to support health and safety initiatives. Emptying trash and recycling receptacles and disposing of waste properly. Cleaning and restocking restrooms with paper products and soap supplies. Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming floors and stairwells. Dusting furniture, fixtures, shelves, and other surfaces. Washing walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other building features. Shampooing carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture. Reporting maintenance concerns and safety issues to supervisors. Supporting other campus areas when additional coverage is needed. Following all OSHA, EPA, and University safety standards. Performing other related duties as assigned.
What Were Looking For Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months or more of custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or related experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
