VACANCY NOTICE

CUSTODIAL CLEANERS - PART-TIME

JOB LOCATION: Elementary Schools, Middle School or High School

HOURS: 5 hours per day after school hours - between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm (as assigned)

PAY RATE: $15.08 per hour (Grade D, Step 1)

START DATE: September 1, 2026

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must:

• Be drug-free;
• Be able to repetitively lift 50 - 75 lbs. on a daily basis;
• Have consistent attendance in previous employment;
• Be able to accept direction and work independently;
• Be on time and have a history of being a diligent worker;
• Possess personal pride in maintaining the school in a safe and attractive manner!
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Cleaners perform a variety of duties including but not limited to the following:

• Cleaning of classroom, hallway and stairwell floors
• Mopping of tiled floors as needed
• Dusting in all areas of the building
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathroom fixtures
• Cleaning and disinfecting of drinking fountains
• Cleaning of chalkboards and/or whiteboards
• Washing of windows as required
• Moving furniture and fixtures as needed
• Shoveling of snow
• Secure doors and windows, turning off lights
• Reporting of any damages in need of repair
• Dispose of trash
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds

Cleaners must be able to accept direction and work independently yet work as a team with other cleaners and custodians. Working daily and being on time is required. Cleaners must comply with all district safety practices and the proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment. Pride in maintaining your building in a safe and attractive manner is a must!

THE COMMUNITY: The Watertown community has 24,000 residents and is located on the Rock River approximately halfway between Madison and Milwaukee, at the junction of Highways 16, 19, and 26.
