JOB SUMMARY Designs and develops engaging, student-centered learning experiences for Futures 2 schools (grades 3-8), grounded in real-world application, creativity, and critical thinking. Partners with key stakeholders to support innovative instructional models, ensuring alignment to district priorities while promoting student agency, engagement, and deeper learning outcomes.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Designs and develops student-facing learning experiences for grades 3-8 that emphasize creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application
Creates project-based and experiential learning activities aligned to Future 2 instructional goals
Collaborates with curriculum designers and educators to ensure experiences align with core content and instructional priorities
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED 4. Integrates innovative practices, including interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning approaches
Evaluates effectiveness of student experiences using feedback and engagement data to improve design
Supports teachers in implementing experiences through guidance, resources, and professional learning
EDUCATION Bachelors Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE At least 3 years teaching experience, preferably in upper elementary or middle school
SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION SoftwareOracleSAPMicrosoft OfficeTeacher Certification (preferred)

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Level 1-No supervisory responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice, and training to staff.

BUDGET AUTHORITY No budget development activity is required.
PROBLEM SOLVING Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.

Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.
