    Description

    Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is looking for a Culture & Community Coordinator to develop and coordinate employee recognition, workplace culture, and community outreach initiatives.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee employee events, celebrations, recognition programs, and other culture-building activities within approved budgets.
    • Develop and administer employee recognition initiatives, including service anniversaries, employee achievements, company milestones, and other special occasions.
    • Support employee engagement, wellness, and work-life balance initiatives consistent with company objectives.
    • Gather employee feedback through surveys, discussions, and other appropriate channels and identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
    • Recommend and implement initiatives designed to address workplace culture and engagement needs.
    • Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, Safety, and other departments to align culture and community initiatives with organizational priorities.
    • Coordinate company participation in charitable activities, volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, school partnerships, and community events.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local nonprofit organizations, schools, chambers of commerce, community groups, and other external partners.
    • Create, schedule, and manage appropriate content for company social media accounts and online communication platforms.
    • Assist with internal communications, including employee announcements, newsletters, bulletin boards, digital displays, event promotions, and recognition materials.
    • Capture and share photographs, employee stories, community involvement, company events, and other content that positively represents the organization.
    • Ensure company communications and social media content are accurate, professional, consistent with company values, and approved in accordance with company procedures.
    • Track participation, engagement, and other relevant measures to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
    • Manage multiple projects, calendars, deadlines, vendors, and event-related details.
    • Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements, Education, & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Strong organizational, time-management, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to develop professional communications and present ideas and recommendations effectively.
    • Creativity and the ability to develop practical, engaging programs and content.
    • Ability to build positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and with external community partners.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
    • Proficiency with social media platforms, online communication tools, and standard office software.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment when creating or publishing company-related content.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site, manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or off-site events as business needs require.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in employee engagement, event coordination, community outreach, communications, social media, human resources, marketing, or a related area preferred.
    • Experience coordinating employee events, recognition programs, volunteer activities, or community partnerships.
    • Experience creating social media, newsletter, photography, video, or other communications content.
    • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
