We're locally owned vendor in Boston Public Market with easy access to Haymarket Orange and Green Lines. Noodle Lab is a dynamic, fast-growing restaurant concept dedicated to crafting exceptional noodle dishes that celebrate both authentic traditions and bold culinary innovation. From perfectly seasoned broths to hand-crafted toppings and house-made components, every bowl we serve reflects our uncompromising commitment to quality, creativity, and the guest experience. We are opening our second location in Kendall Square and Culinary Team Member can choose to be at either or both locations. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy wearing multiple hats - from greeting customers and order assembly to food prep - trim chicken, beef and pork belly, prep vegetables and cold-line items.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome and engage guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner at the front counter or service area, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process orders, accept payments, and handle refunds or order modifications with efficiency and integrity.
- Assemble completed food and beverage orders with close attention to presentation, correct portioning, and adherence to Noodle Lab LLC quality standards.
- Prepare ingredients and components for service including chopping, portioning, cooking, and mise en place as directed by kitchen leadership.
- Follow all recipes, preparation techniques, and plating/assembly standards established by the culinary team consistently and without deviation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in both front-of-house and kitchen areas throughout the entirety of each shift.
- Adhere to all food safety, allergen awareness, and sanitation protocols at all times in full compliance with local health department standards.
- Handle guest inquiries, dietary questions, and any service complaints with professionalism, empathy, and urgency escalating to a manager when appropriate.
- Monitor inventory levels at service stations and front counter, communicating restocking needs to supervisors proactively to prevent service interruptions.
- Support teammates during peak service hours by stepping in where needed, fostering a collaborative and positive team atmosphere.
- Complete all assigned opening, closing, and side-work checklists accurately and on schedule each shift.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a consistent customer-first attitude.
- Experience operating a POS system (any platform accepted).
- Proven ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail in food preparation, portioning, and order accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both teammates and guests.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (or meet minimum age requirements per applicable local law).
Preferred
- Experience in Asian cuisine, noodle dishes, or ramen concepts is a significant plus.
- Working knowledge of common food allergens and dietary restrictions (gluten, shellfish, nuts, dairy, soy, etc.).
- Cash handling experience and solid basic math and change-counting skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Rate $12.00 $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications held, commensurate with experience and certifications held
Tips This position is tips eligible, tips are distributed per company policy

Work Environment
- Customer-facing counter and kitchen environment; extended periods of standing are required throughout shifts.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as part of routine kitchen and service duties.
- Exposure to high temperatures, commercial kitchen equipment, and fast-paced service conditions is expected.
- Frequent movement between front-of-house and kitchen areas throughout each shift.
