TITLE: Cub Care Site Leader


PRIMARY FUNCTION:


To provide programming and care for children before or after school in a safe environment


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Responsible for collection of fees and forms from parents


· Responsible for maintaining children’s files through MyClubHub


· Assists with curriculum planning and staff schedules


· Notifies Cub Care Director of needed supplies


· Responsible for scheduling activities and events


· Ensures program meets children’s needs


· Ensures Boys & Girls Clubs policies are implemented


· Follows all designated site requirements


· Ensures positive, effective communication and cooperation with: building principal, all essential building staff, parents, students and Cub Care staff


· Maintains accurate records on the program, staff, children and finances


· Provides program agenda for the day, week, month


· Deals with discipline issues not diffused by Cub Care Worker


· Assumes additional related duties as requested by Cub Care Director


· Submits monthly report to the Cub Care Director


· Attend required staff meetings and trainings


· Dress appropriately for school setting


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:


· High school diploma or equivalent (Preferable to have a two-year associate degree in related field)


· Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in adult supervision.


· Good attendance with punctuality


· An understanding of a need for confidentiality


· Pleasant personality and a willingness to work collaborative


· Good grammar


· Clean and neat appearance


· Experience working with school-age students


An ability to work with children


An ability to work with a team of people


An ability to use independent judgment


An ability to follow written and verbal directions


Basic skills in the general use of technology


An ability to foster a cooperative work environment


Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality


Effective verbal and written skills


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Inside and outside duties


Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
