    Commercial Preventative Maintenance Technician

    Comfort Temp Heating and Air

Anyone can fix a broken system. It takes a real technician to make sure it never breaks.

If prevention is your specialty — not just repair — we want you on our commercial maintenance team.

    Who We Are

Comfort Temp Heating and Air has been doing this since 1985. No shortcuts, no excuses — just reliable work and people who back up their word.

    Four rules run this company:

    • Do what it takes.
    • Do what you say.
    • Do it with purpose.
    • Do the right thing.

That's how we run the company, and it's how we expect our people to show up — on the job and off.

    The Job

You keep commercial HVAC systems running before they ever have a chance to go down. Air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, boilers — you're in and out, catching what needs catching, and moving to the next stop.

    What You'll Do

    • Travel to commercial properties as scheduled
    • Perform routine maintenance on air handlers, rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, and boilers
    • Inspect systems and catch problems before they become breakdowns
    • Check refrigerant levels, belts, motors, filters, and overall performance
    • Clean coils, fans, and other key components
    • Keep your tools, parts, and equipment inventory squared away
    • Document findings, recommendations, and completed work
    • Back up senior techs on repairs or upgrades when needed

    What You Need

    • 1–2 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
    • EPA certification — required
    • Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly, 75+ lbs occasionally
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
    • Comfortable with manual and power tools
    • Self-motivated — you don't need someone standing over you
    • Solid communication skills with customers
    • Attention to detail and respect for safety protocols

Nice to have: Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
