CT Technologist
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: 3 Months Contract
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic computed tomography examinations by operating advanced CT imaging equipment, positioning patients accurately, administering contrast media when required, and producing high-quality diagnostic images. This role ensures patient safety, maintains imaging equipment, and collaborates with physicians and the radiology team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic CT imaging examinations using computerized tomography equipment.
Position patients accurately for CT procedures.
Interpret physician imaging orders and scanning instructions.
Administer radiographic contrast agents in accordance with established protocols.
Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images for physician interpretation.
Evaluate CT images for technical quality and diagnostic accuracy.
Perform routine CT scanner warm-up and quality assurance procedures.
Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures.
Explain CT procedures and provide patient education and reassurance.
Maintain and sterilize radiologic equipment.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience.
Experience operating Computed Tomography (CT) scanners.
Experience administering intravenous contrast media.
Knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety practices.
Ability to evaluate CT image quality.
Strong patient positioning and patient care skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced imaging department.
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT (RT)(CT) Certification.
Connecticut Radiologic Technologist License (if required).
BLS Certification.
Hospital-based CT experience.
PACS experience.
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
Experience with Siemens, Client, or Philips CT scanners.
Experience with trauma and emergency imaging.
