General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS, ARRT
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT for ND they do not have to be CT certified; ND license
How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 1 CT, 1 DR mobile and 1 DR room
Will they have to float/cover any other areas? They do EKG but it can be taught.
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties CT Scans and general radiology exams (X-rays) Scheduling mobile units (MRI, Ultasounds and Dexascans)
Experience or 'Must have' skills Preferred experience
Average # of scans/studies per day Combination of X-rays and CTs is 5
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EMR is Epic and PACS including Intellispace
Department Specific Equipment (Client, Phillips, Siemens) CT is Toshiba, X-ray room is Carestream and mobile unit is Siemans
Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Sandi Helgeson
Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No RRAs but some of our lab personnel are Limited X-ray Techs
Radiologist in-house? No
Do they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) IV capability is preferred
Shifts & Scheduling Regular Shifts would be Monday - Friday 8-5
Weekend Requirement Every other
Holiday Requirement 3 holidays a year
Call or Standby requirement? Response time? Weekly nights 2 nights a week and weekend include Friday night. Response time is 20 minutes
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Scrubs is preferred or casual wear, no jeans.
