CT Technologist / CAT Scan Technologist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CT Technologist to join the CT Scan team at a busy hospital campus in Akron, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing CT examinations in a Level I Trauma environment and be comfortable working with high-acuity, emergency, and trauma patients.

This position is well suited for a CT Technologist with a strong background in fast-paced hospital imaging environments who can provide accurate diagnostic imaging while maintaining excellent patient care and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive range of Computed Tomography (CT) examinations according to established protocols.
• Provide CT imaging services for trauma, emergency, stroke, and high-acuity patients.
• Demonstrate strong experience working in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
• Accurately position and prepare patients for CT examinations while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Administer and monitor contrast media according to facility protocols and safety standards.
• Perform STAT and emergency CT examinations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Review images for technical quality and ensure appropriate diagnostic imaging standards are met.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental policies and procedures.
• Prioritize imaging requests appropriately based on patient condition and clinical urgency.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience.
• Minimum 2 years of travel CT experience.
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required.
• ARRT certification/registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong patient-care, communication, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment.

• Valid professional license/certification as applicable
• Completion of facility-required competency and skills assessments
• Successful completion of required health screening, drug screening, background checks, and immunization/TB requirements
• Valid government-issued identification
• Professional references and education verification

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced CT Technologist with Level I Trauma experience who is confident handling emergency and high-acuity patients, performing a broad range of CT procedures, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and efficiency.

Note: This is a long-term contract opportunity with an 8:00 PM–6:30 AM schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week, and every other weekend.
