Join a patient-focused healthcare team as a CT Technician in a full-time night shift position. This opportunity offers schedule flexibility with either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week.
Possible Schedules:- Monday-Thursday: 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM
- Monday-Friday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- Monday-Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Review physician orders and patient medical history prior to imaging procedures.
- Explain CT procedures and answer patient questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice when required.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Prepare imaging equipment and maintain necessary supplies.
- Perform equipment quality control and follow established safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions as needed.
- Position patients accurately and perform CT imaging examinations.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat scans when necessary to obtain diagnostic results.
- Document, transmit, and communicate imaging results according to established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Imaging or a related field.
- Current New Mexico Radiologic Technologist license.
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous CT imaging experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
