This is a Community Service Work Study student employment position. Applicants must have Federal Work Study funds in their Financial Aid package.

Student will work with task supervisor and as a team member in the Children's Relief Nursery Therapeutic Classroom and as bus monitor on bus routes with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families.

Reports on-site to EC Specialists and on-campus to Moreau Center Program Manager, Clare Kennedy.

Location: 8425 N. Lombard St, Portland OR 97203

Note: Student may not earn more than $2,000 total in this position, which equates to 118 hours worked between Fall and Spring semester.

Core Duties

  • Attend and follow all orientation and requirements for internship i.e. Office of Childcare
  • Follow task supervisors instructions in the Therapeutic Classroom
  • Learn and observe and implement the RN Therapeutic Model
  • Ride on CRN buses as monitor on bus route with staff
  • Attend staff meetings and supervision
  • Shadow task supervisor or other staff member on home visit
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have Federal Work Study Funds in Financial Aid package (contact finaid@up.edu with questions)
  • Work 7:30am to 2pm or 3pm during TECP hours
  • Available M-Th at least 2 days per week

Preferred Qualifications

  • Social work experience or interest in the field
  • Early Childhood experience or interest in the field

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to lift at least 50 lbs (a young child)
