Customer Service Representative / Shipping and Receiving

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative with shipping and receiving experience to join our team in Bolingbrook, Illinois. This role focuses on providing professional, prompt communication with customers, processing orders, managing shipping and receiving duties, and supporting daily operations to ensure high customer satisfaction. The position also involves assisting in training new team members and collaborating across customer service and warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or other communication channels.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Address and resolve high-level, non-routine customer issues and complaints.
• Support coordination of daily workflow among customer service and warehouse personnel.
• Assist in training new hires on customer service procedures and protocols.
• Back up other customer service representatives as needed.
• Support shipping and receiving activities, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain professional communication standards in line with company policies.
• Support operational efficiency by identifying waste and process improvement opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with customer service functions.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to handle higher-level customer issues.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse roles such as Stock Clerk, Shipping Clerk, Receiving Clerk, or Warehouse General roles.
