C++ Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level to senior candidate with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our Options desk. Industry experience is highly preferred; however, we are open to considering exceptionally strong candidates with extensive C++ expertise and experience in high-frequency trading (HFT), low-latency, or hardware-level development.

We offer competitive compensation, ranging from $400,000 to $600,000 for the right senior candidate, with higher compensation potential in Chicago.

Required Skills

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical related field
• 2+ years of experience developing applications in C++, preferably with high availability systems with very tight latency constraints
• Experience with C++ 11/14/17/20, Linux, Python, and BASH scripting
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel and systems programming
• A passion for solving challenging problems
• Strong systems knowledge and experience in developing low latency systems
• Experience with writing applications connecting to exchange APIs or using network protocols
• Experience with parallel, concurrent, and multi-threaded programming
• Prefer experience with low-latency computing and hardware-level design
• Experience with Git, SVN, Mercurial
