Introduction

Are you interested in joining a newly created team aimed at supporting individuals in their community through providing community-based support and treatment? Prince William County Community Services (CS) is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Therapist III supervisor position to lead the Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) team. The program serves adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Services offered by CPST staff include assessment, counseling, therapeutic interventions, care coordination, and crisis and functional supports to provide strengths-based, goal-directed interventions focused on restoring daily living skills, building natural supports, and achieving person-centered goals. This position is located in Woodbridge, VA- within easy commuting distance from Washington, DC and Northern VA. This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments. The first installment of $2,500 will be paid after you have completed 90 days of employment. The final $2,500 installment will be disbursed upon successful completion of the probationary period.

About This Role: The selected candidate will provide supervision of the day-to-day operations of the CPST team, including administrative and clinical supervision, and will provide supervisory oversight of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Medicaid, MCO, and licensure standards. They will complete documentation per DMAS and agency requirements, perform monthly chart reviews, and assist the Therapist IV with screening individuals for CPST services. The selected candidate will manage a caseload, deliver community-based services, provide support and training to frontline staff, and perform risk assessments and crisis intervention services as needed. They will assist the SLS Therapist IV and SLS Program Manager with coaching, training, and mentoring CPST staff. As part of a broader network of community and state partners, they will consult with Prince William County Community Services' internal and external partners and other community agencies to facilitate referrals and service provision for individuals in need of CPST services.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services field

Must possess an unrestricted LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Licensed Clinical Psychologist within the Commonwealth of Virginia

3 years or more of experience in the delivery of human services for adults with Serious Mental Illness (SMI)

Preferences:

3 years or more of experience providing community-based services to adults diagnosed with SMI and other co-occurring disorders in a CSB or public behavioral health agency

Experience providing administrative, clinical, and licensure supervision in a behavioral healthcare agency

Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and mental health/substance use screenings and formulating diagnoses

Awareness, knowledge, and experience with providing mental health skill building

Experience monitoring compliance with Medicaid and other state and federal requirements for billing purposes

Experience using an Electronic Health Record

Experience collaborating with and building relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other departments

Experience with hiring, performance issues, employee evaluations, and progressive discipline

Experience working with evidence-based interventions and providing crisis intervention

Special Requirements: Must possess a valid drivers license; Must pass DMV record check; Must pass TB test; Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprinted-based national criminal history record check. Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglect maintained by the Department of Social Services.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9-5 with some weekend coverage

Starting Salary Range: $82,77.50-$111,033.00
