JOB SUMMARY

The Service Technician is responsible for safely installing and maintaining cryogenic and non-cryogenic bulk gas storage systems. The Technician will dispatch from their home for standard 8-hour days. Overtime may be needed for emergency repairs and customer installations. Most customers are within a two-hour radius of the Technician and are typically serviced during normal business hours. Training will primarily be on-the-job along with some classroom training to cover SOPs and code requirements.

Essential Functions

Complete physical tasks necessary to install and maintain bulk gas systems. This often includes moving system assemblies, lifting pipes, and using hand tools. Systems are outdoors and work must be completed in typical seasonal conditions.

Professionally interact with customers, project managers, sales reps, contractors, and inspectors

Complete site surveys as an initial step in the planning process of a bulk gas installation

Complete annual tank inspections at all accounts within the assigned territory, ensuring compliance with SOPs and codes

Work 8-12-hour days in the assigned territory, with occasional overnight trips

Safely operate a company-provided service truck

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associate's degree - High school diploma or GED is required; college or technical degree is preferred - Preferred

4-6 years A minimum of 5 years in a related field is preferred, ideally with experience in the industrial gas industry Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Must be able to read/understand P&IDs and materials of construction, site layouts; understand the operation and functionality of valves, regulators, and piping

Must be an organized self-starter who can effectively plan their week's work

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Driver's License - Required

Travel Requirements
