Opportunity:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia
Job Details:
- Provide locum anesthesia coverage for employee leaves and vacations in a Level 1 trauma center
- Flexible day shifts available in 8, 10, or 12-hour increments with no on-call or weekend requirements
- Work under supervision managing adult patients and a limited pediatric population
- Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC
- Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff including RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians
- Provide preoperative assessments and patient education
- Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia
- Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team
- Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Must have current NBCRNA certification and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Must be fully licensed in Michigan at time of presentation with no exceptions
- New graduate candidates will not be accepted
