Job Description

The Consumer Marketing Creative team at Condé Nast develops multi-channel creative marketing assets across brands including Vogue, Vanity Fair, GQ, Allure, Bon Appétit, Epicurious, The New Yorker, WIRED, Architectural Digest, and Condé Nast Traveler. The team drives consumer revenue through subscriptions across print, digital, and membership offerings, and through commerce and continuity programs. We are seeking a CRM Designer, Email & Front-End Specialist to translate brand creative into high-performing, technically sound assets across email, site, app, and paid/display for CRM and lifecycle marketing. The ideal candidate brings strong email design and development expertise, a front-end mindset, and curiosity about evolving tools and workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build responsive, on-brand HTML emails optimized for rendering and deliverability across major clients and devices.
  • Develop and maintain modular, reusable email templates and CRM design systems within ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Iterable.
  • Conceptualize, design, and develop lifecycle assets for email, site, app, and paid/display, including banners, paid social, animations, video, and multimedia content.
  • Apply front-end skills in HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript to hand-code or troubleshoot email and web assets for cross-client and cross-browser accuracy.
  • Conduct QA using tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid to identify and resolve rendering issues before deployment.
  • Ensure visuals, messaging, and interactions align with creative vision and brand standards across the portfolio.
  • Apply strategic thinking and design principles to deliver best-in-class creative that supports consumer revenue growth.
  • Leverage data and analytics in partnership with Creative Leads and Project Management to optimize creative and email performance.
  • Maintain clear communication on timelines and progress with Project Management and partners.
  • Stay current on competitive landscape, CRM best practices, front-end trends, and consumer revenue strategies.
  • Organize media, code, and final files with proper storage and backup for access by internal and external teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years of design experience delivering engaging, revenue-focused campaigns in marketing, advertising, or e-commerce environments.
  • Hands-on responsive email design and coding with strong command of email HTML/CSS and cross-client nuances across Outlook, Gmail, and Apple Mail; ESP experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; basic JavaScript a plus for adapting or troubleshooting templated assets.
  • Experience creating display banners and paid/digital ad assets to IAB specs with attention to file weight and motion/static variants.
  • Strong portfolio featuring email, CRM, and display/banner work that demonstrates measurable engagement.
  • Solid design fundamentals across typography, color theory, UX, and brand alignment.
  • Clear communication and collaborative approach with Creative Director and cross-functional partners.
  • High attention to detail across design, messaging, code, and interaction consistency.
  • Strong organization and time management across multiple concurrent projects with dependable status updates.
  • Proactive learning mindset with awareness of industry trends, tools, and front-end approaches; curiosity about AI-assisted workflows.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or Iterable, and testing platforms like Litmus or Email on Acid.
  • Knowledge of ADA-compliant and accessible email and web design.
  • Motion graphics and animation skills; grounding in UX/UI and social principles.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects; familiarity with G Suite and project management tools.
