    Northwood University, Americas Free-Enterprise University, is seeking a CRM Administrator to provide leadership, technical expertise, and day-to-day administration of Slate in support of enrollment, recruitment, admissions, and engagement goals. As part of a distinctive, mission-driven community that develops free-enterprise leaders, this role will help strengthen the digital systems and experiences that connect prospective students, current students, and University partners with Northwood. The CRM Administrator is responsible for optimizing CRM performance, managing user access and system configuration, developing workflows, queries, reports, dashboards, and communication tools, and ensuring accurate data flow across Slate, Colleague, and other enterprise systems. The position will also identify opportunities to use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, communication, reporting, and decision-making. Through training, documentation, troubleshooting, and responsive support, the CRM Administrator will help strengthen CRM adoption and effective Slate use across the University.

    Work Arrangement

    Remote work may be available for the right candidate. This position requires the flexibility to be on campus in Midland, Michigan, periodically and as business needs require, including for key University initiatives, partner engagements, team collaboration, training, and Slate-focused events or summits.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee Slate daily operations, system performance, configuration, and ongoing optimization.
    • Serve as the primary administrator for Slate, including user access, profiles, roles, permissions, and routine system administration.
    • Translate business needs into CRM solutions by developing workflows, queries, reports, and process improvements that support recruitment, admissions, and engagement.
    • Build and maintain dashboards that provide clear visibility into enrollment funnel activity, performance trends, and conversion opportunities.
    • Manage CRM-based communication tools, including email and SMS campaigns, to support timely and effective outreach.
    • Coordinate CRM integrations with Colleague, the website, marketing platforms, and other enterprise systems to promote accurate, consistent data flow.
    • Lead CRM-related projects by defining priorities, tracking milestones, monitoring system activity, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
    • Partner with Enrollment, Marketing, IT, and other stakeholders to align CRM initiatives with institutional priorities.
    • Identify opportunities to use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve CRM efficiency, communication, reporting, and decision-making.
    • Provide training, documentation, and responsive support to strengthen user adoption and effective Slate use across the institution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; master's preferred.
    • 3-5+ years of experience with CRM/ERP systems, preferably Slate and Colleague, in higher education.
    • Working knowledge of AI tools and their application in operations and automation.
    • Experience building CRM queries, reports, dashboards, workflows, and communication campaigns.
    • Knowledge of enrollment management, admissions operations, recruitment funnels, or student lifecycle processes.
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical CRM requirements and practical user solutions.
    • Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance expectations related to student records.
    • Experience with data integration, system interoperability, and managing data across multiple platforms.
    • Ability to provide effective, quality service to our internal and external customers.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
