Description
Join TeamHealth's highly skilled critical care medicine team at Tampa General Hospital as a nocturnist advanced practice clinician. We are seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our collaborative, high acuity critical care team. Qualified candidates will have a master's degree in nursing or be a board certified PA.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the critical care team to assess, evaluate and manage critically ill patients in the ICU
Provide comprehensive care for a diverse, high acuity patient population, including medical and surgical patients with vascular, thoracic, burn and cardiac conditions
Deliver timely evaluation and management of patients with urgent and emergent clinical needs
Perform histories and physical examinations
Order, review and interpret laboratory studies, diagnostic imaging and other clinical testing
Closely monitor patient status and response treatment, adjusting the plan of case as appropriate
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the ICU medical record
Recommend and initiate appropriate therapeutic interventions
Perform advanced bedside procedures, including intubation, bronchoscopy, central line placement, hemodialysis catheter placement, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis and paracentesis
Demonstrate clinical excellence, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving skills while providing exceptional patient care
