We are seeking experienced and professional Program Director for a new crisis program in Morris County, NJ.  This is a 24-hour psychiatric crisis center for adults experiencing a mental health crisis, providing a nurturing and supportive environment where clients can receive therapeutic interventions for up to 24 hours.  This is a full-time, permanent in-person position with comprehensive benefits. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures direction and evaluation of a large team.
  • Participates in the hiring and termination process of staff; as needed, provides education and technical assistance to team members regarding the use of Evidence Based Practices to support recovery and wellness; works with the team to develop important strategies, such as a Wellness and Safety Plan. serves as a resource for the team for wellness and recovery strategies. 
  • Data collection for contract monitoring, quality improvement and service improvement.
  • Coordination and integration of crisis services with other community programs. 
  • Provides direct service to crisis clients and their family members; works with the client and family on initial treatment plan development, discharge planning, and wellness and safety plans.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.    
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: 
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or allied field of study
  • Licensed in NJ to provide clinical services. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing crisis stabilization/intervention and supporting the serious and persistent mentally ill population, including individuals with dual-diagnosis (Co-occurring) 
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • LCSW with supervisor’s credentials and CADC preferred.
  • English-Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Salary: $100K-$120K/year depending on relevant experience, education, and licensure.
