Maintenance Supervisor
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a 2/3/3/2 pattern
Shift: Must be available to work either days or nights
Weekend Work: Every other weekend as part of the 2/3/3/2 schedule
Shift Rotation: Employees are typically assigned to either day or night shift and remain on that shift. However, flexibility to work either shift may be required based on business needs, including vacation or medical leave coverage.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and supervise electrical and mechanical maintenance employees while providing technical troubleshooting expertise to identify maintenance issues and develop effective solutions.
This position will provide technical leadership, training, and support to mechanical and electrical maintenance employees. The selected candidate may also supervise a small team of production employees on an as-needed basis.
The successful candidate will have a strong maintenance background with verifiable, hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in an industrial environment. Supervisory experience, along with knowledge of hydraulics and PLC troubleshooting, is highly desired.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is motivated to learn and contribute to all aspects of mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and production employees within the department.
Serve as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and manufacturing personnel.
Provide technical maintenance support for the assigned area.
Execute planned and unplanned maintenance work to meet department goals.
Coordinate repairs with internal customers to minimize equipment downtime.
Follow up on equipment issues and develop technical problem-solving solutions.
Provide on-call response to address critical maintenance situations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing methods and processes.
Work collaboratively with maintenance employees to identify and implement improvements.
Lead applicable processes and procedures within the department.
Follow all environmental, health and safety, quality, continuous improvement, and company policies.
Utilize Microsoft Office and enterprise software systems as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Previous experience in a similar maintenance leadership role.
5+ years of heavy industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
Knowledge of PLCs and hydraulic systems.
Previous supervisory experience in a union environment.
Previous supervisory experience with production employees.
Strong customer service and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated initiative and creative problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
