Position Description
Provide adequate crew levels and qualifications of hourly employees to run the plant on a shift-by-shift basis, in accordance with Collective Agreement language and regulatory compliance.
May be responsible for production execution tasks and/or training coordination activities.
Reports to Human Resource Manager
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Produce accurate schedules to meet production requirements.
Maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule employees for a wide variety of off work events (such as vacations, Leave of Absences, bereavement leaves, etc.) training (including familiarization), company functions.
Schedule these activities in accordance with existing policies, procedures, and contractual constraints.
Respond to production requirement changes quickly and accurately and coordinate crew scheduling requirements with Supervisors.
May prepare daily crew sheets and schedules for each department and/or work area.
Recall employees from layoff as required.
Enter employee attendance into appropriate database(s) and create individual and summary trend reports.
Schedule and participate in meetings.
Generate and maintain reports, such as Monthly Hours, Absenteeism and OT reports in accordance with collective bargaining agreement.
Maintain and manage attendance, scheduling, and other documentation in accordance to company document retention policies.
Maintain confidentiality as required.
May support the research of initial response to scheduling grievances.
Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, including K-LEAN processes.
Responsible for compliance with all regulations.
Food Safety plant in proper sanitary condition always, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed. Compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for supporting the execution of relevant projects within assigned area / shift.
Responsible for supporting talent management process for hourly employees.
Ensure Diversity and Inclusion meets / exceeds corporate standards.
Proactively engage in the development and training of hourly labor and support such plans developed by plant leadership.
Maintain understanding of processes and functional interdependencies.
Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve, plant performance.

Adhere to and administer company policies and procedures.

Skills Required
Candidate minimum qualifications:
Organizational, attention to detail, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Knowledge of Excel 2010 and newer.
Experience with SAP, Kronos & Indeavor
Experience Required
2-3 years scheduling
Education Required
High School diploma/GED
Additional Information
8 hour shifts Training on 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm Shift: Flexible (1st, 2nd)
