Description
Performs intermediate skilled trades work maintaining assigned landscaped areas and supervising a crew, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Senior Crew Coordinator. Continuous oversight is exercised over all personnel within the team.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with landscaping and equipment, and supervising a crew, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of related industry, organization, and department policies, practices, and procedures; thorough knowledge of related industry organization, and departmental legal guides, recommendations, best practices, ordinances, and laws; thorough knowledge of pesticide application; thorough knowledge of landscaping equipment; general knowledge of work orders, vehicle maintenance reports, and performance appraisals; through knowledge of standard office software; general knowledge of standard accounting software; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions or decimals; ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, associates, and the general public.
Physical Requirements:
This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 50 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 100 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms, frequently requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires sitting and climbing or
balancing; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, using of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts within arms length, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work regularly requires exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and exposure to outdoor weather conditions, frequently requires working near moving mechanical parts and occasionally requires wet, humid conditions (non-weather), working in high, precarious places, exposure to extreme cold (non-weather), exposure to extreme heat (non-weather), exposure to the risk of electrical shock and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment; work is generally in a loud noise location (e.g. grounds maintenance, heavy traffic).
