Job Overview:
Primoris Engineering is now seeking a Crew Chief to lead a survey team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This position is responsible for leading and supervising a team of workers in the field to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specified standards. This role involves direct oversight of daily operations, adherence to project plans, and effective communication with project managers and crew members.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a crew of workers, providing clear direction and delegating tasks effectively.
* Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to company safety policies and procedures, as well as all applicable regulations.
* Interpret and implement project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
* Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment and tools.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedule and quality.
* Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
* Maintain accurate daily reports, including progress, resource utilization, and safety observations.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and crew members.
* Train and mentor junior crew members.
* Ensure proper care and maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
* Participate in pre-construction meetings and post-project reviews as required.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in a relevant field preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction or utility services, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, and safety practices.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on project needs.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
* OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
