LHH is partnering with a growing law firm seeking an experienced Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy Contract Attorney to support an active practice with increasing caseload demands.
This role is ideal for an attorney who can independently manage creditors' rights matters while providing significant support in bankruptcy and insolvency-related proceedings.
Responsibilities
Manage creditors' rights matters from inception through resolution
Handle collections litigation, recovery actions, and judgment enforcement proceedings
Represent creditors in bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 proceedings
Prepare and file pleadings, motions, proofs of claim, and other legal documents
Appear at hearings, negotiations, mediations, and related proceedings
Advise clients regarding recovery strategies, bankruptcy issues, and case developments
Conduct legal research and analysis related to creditors' rights, insolvency, and bankruptcy matters
Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage active caseloads
Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and client expectations
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
CA active bar license in good standing
Minimum of 5 years of experience in creditors' rights, collections litigation, bankruptcy, insolvency
Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings
