Credit Manager – Your Job Duties

You will oversee the credit and collections function, department and team.

• Lead and coach a team of nine credit and collection professionals, providing the direction, tools and accountability needed to perform effectively

• Manage departmental staffing, hiring, onboarding and day-to-day workflow

• Oversee a substantial accounts receivable portfolio (approximately 6,000 customer accounts)

• Establish and enforce credit policies, procedures, internal controls and approval guidelines

• Oversee customer credit evaluations, credit limits and payment terms, adjusting exposure as risk or collection concerns arise

• Monitor aging, delinquency and collection activity to support cash flow, minimize bad debt and reduce financial risk

• Guide complex collection matters, including payment plans, account holds, collection agencies, legal action, liens and judgments

• Serve as the escalation point for disputed balances, high-risk accounts, NSF payments, fraud concerns and potentially uncollectible accounts

• Recommend reserves, write-offs, settlements and other corrective actions when needed

• Ensure payments and wire transfers are accurately applied and documentation is complete

• Prepare and present reporting on aging, credit exposure, collection performance and bad debt risk

• Partner with sales, rental, parts, service, finance and legal teams to resolve issues while protecting customer relationships

• Support audits and continually improve department processes, reporting, systems and team efficiency.

Credit Manager – You Have Prior Experience in:

• Leading a commercial credit / collections function

• Managing a team

• Managing B2B accounts receivable and commercial credit portfolios

• Managing legal accounts, escalated collections and working with outside attorneys or collection partners

• Commercial credit, collections, accounts receivable, customer risk evaluation, payment terms and credit documentation

• Establishing, reviewing and adjusting customer credit limits

You might have experience with:

• The construction industry with knowledge of mechanics liens, preliminary notices, bonding and construction terminology

• A heavy equipment dealer, equipment rental company, agriculture business or related

Credit Manager – Benefits for You

Your compensation will be $100,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on your experience. In addition you will be eligible for a very generous annual incentive compensation plan with opportunity to earn a large percentage of your base salary.
