Shift:                1st Shift | 40 Hours per Week
Working Hours: Between 6:55 AM and 6:05 PM Central Time

Job Summary

The Credit and Collection Analyst will manage customer accounts, collect overdue payments, evaluate credit information, and resolve account discrepancies. This role involves communicating with delinquent customers, negotiating payment arrangements, reviewing account histories, and helping customers resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and negotiation skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience in customer service or collections.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage collections for large and moderately complex past-due customer accounts.
  • Contact customers by phone to collect overdue payments and negotiate suitable payment plans.
  • Review customer payment histories, account information, and financial statements.
  • Evaluate customer credit information and authorize credit within established company guidelines.
  • Update and verify customer or debtor information.
  • Negotiate payment plan modifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review account status and recommend or authorize additional sales when appropriate.
  • Investigate and assist with account discrepancies, including misapplied cash.
  • Escalate complex or problematic accounts to supervisors.
  • Manage assigned accounts to maintain low delinquency levels.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Follow applicable federal and state regulations and company collection policies.
  • Use collection systems, mainframe applications, and other software tools to manage accounts efficiently.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong computer aptitude and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Familiarity with software applications and mainframe systems.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work activities.
  • Ability to work in a call center environment and remain seated for extended periods while handling telephone calls.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience in credit analysis, collections, accounts receivable, or financial customer service.
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques and payment recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with John Deere Financial collections policies and procedures.

Additional Information

  • Full-time assignment: 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime may be available but is not mandatory.
  • Working hours fall within the 6:55 AM–6:05 PM Central Time window.
  • Candidates should be comfortable performing telephone-based customer support and account collection activities.
