Commercial Credit Analyst | Banking

A community bank is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to evaluate lending requests and help make sound credit decisions. This role is a fit for someone who enjoys working with financial statements, identifying risk, and turning detailed analysis into clear recommendations.

What you’ll do

• Analyze business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow to assess repayment capacity.

• Evaluate collateral, guarantor strength, loan structure, and key risks.

• Prepare credit memos and recommendations for lenders and credit approval.

• Complete annual reviews, renewals, and ongoing portfolio analysis.

• Work with lenders to gather information and resolve questions during underwriting.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in commercial credit analysis or underwriting at a bank or credit union.

• Strong financial analysis, cash flow, and credit writing skills.

• Ability to explain risks and support a credit recommendation with sound reasoning.

• Careful attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests.

• Experience with C&I, commercial real estate, or agricultural credits is welcome.
