Nucor Steel Hertford is seeking a Credit Analyst in Cofield, NC to evaluate customer credit risk, manage accounts receivable, support cash collection, and assist with customer claims resolution. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience), proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office, and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Primary Job Responsibilities
Credit & Risk Analysis: Review credit applications, evaluate financial statements to establish credit risk levels for new customers, and monitor existing accounts to manage exposure and release order holds
Account Reconciliation & Portfolio Management: Perform account reconciliations, track daily past-due accounts, issue updates, complete proof of payments or waivers, and collaborate with Sales on payment concerns such as short-paid invoices
Claims Resolution & Accounting Operations: Coordinate and resolve customer claims, billing disputes, and credit/debit memos while executing monthly reporting and month-end closing processes
Job Requirements
Education & Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and extensive work history in commercial credit, accounts receivable, or collections
Software & Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with prior experience using ERP systems (Oracle preferred) highly valued
Technical Background: Previous commercial credit and collections experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Compliance & Citizenship: U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship and the ability to maintain compliance with financial controls and safety policies
