    Credit Analyst Job Description 


    Client Information- A national distributor of agricultural/specialty products; founded in 1957. 

     

    Job Summary- The credit analyst supports the credit department with various administrative duties including handling credit request, collections, account support and management and other duties as assigned. 

     

    Job Duties 

    • Set-up new credit accounts by conducting credit checks, review credit data and recommending credit line (within authority level).   

    • Review of customer accounts by running reports such as credit bureaus, business reports, and verifying trade and bank references. 

    • Verify entered customer and account data; track credit and loan applications submitted by location and follow up with customer and location as needed regarding application. 

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, field operations teams and internal staff. 

    • Process various updates, transactions and adjustments within Oracle environment including customer account updates and customer account adjustments. 

    • Assist with the processing and distribution of various internal reports including aging reports, cost studies, account analyses, etc. 

    • Maintain credit files including updating and retrieving information as needed. 

    • Provide customer credit information or ratings upon request to various creditors, credit agencies or banks. 

    • Other duties including account reconciliation, balance and payoff information on accounts, etc. to internal parties and customers as needed. 

    • Assist with special projects assigned. 

     

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    • 1 to 3 years of customer service experience; specifically maintaining customer relationships. Previous credit, lending, underwriting experience a plus. 

    • On the job experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically inputting information into a document; database experience in a plus 

    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written; strong organizational skills 

    • Strong business skills and keen to attention to detail 

    • Personal integrity and ability to discreetly handle confidential data 

    • Starting salary $55,000 to $65,000; competitive health insurance and benefits; opportunity to move up within the company
