We're actively seeking a talented Credit Analysis Manager to join our Private Placement Investment team in Newport Beach, CA.

Job Summary

As a Private Placement Credit Analysis Manager, you will play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success by supporting our team in conducting fundamental research on privately placed fixed income opportunities for inclusion in the company's General Account.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing financial and legal documents and analyzing investment merits as well as industry dynamics and trends as the basis for making investment recommendations. • Filling a role on the Private Placement Corporate Team, which currently consists of four investment professionals within the broader Pacific Life Investment department. • Interacting with other credit analysts and portfolio managers. • Managing a portfolio of approximately $17B.

How You'll Help Move Us Forward

As a generalist, conduct fundamental credit research and analysis for new investment grade investment opportunities. Make investment recommendations that meet the needs of the portfolio. Analyze financial models and help to conduct sensitivity analysis. Assist in deal tracking and documentation. Actively monitor existing portfolio investments and assets. Develop and maintain relationships with external parties including investment banks, other investors and rating agencies; interact with various groups internally. Grow and advance under the direction of more senior investment professionals to further progress knowledge and skills. Additional duties as requested.

The Experience You Bring

• 5+ years investment experience and fundamental credit analysis (private placement experience preferred) • Experience underwriting, recommending, and presenting transactions • Bachelor's degree required, MBA/CFA desirable • Ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously with high attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Excel proficiency

Base Pay Range

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$152,010.00 - $185,790.00
