    Position Summary:
    The Credentialing Clerk (CC) works with the Assistant Director of Revenue Integrity to keep all provider credentialing up to date and processes all new provider credentialing for PNS.
    Qualifications:
    Education:
    • High school diploma required.
    • Associate degree in business related field preferred.
    Experience
    • A minimum of one (1) year experience in physician credentialing required.
    • A minimum of one (1) year experience in physician billing is preferred.
    Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • None
    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Works with CMC Medical Staff office in addition to PNS Administrative office to ensure physician licenses, malpractice, CAQH and all other credentialing documentation remains current.
    • Keeps Practice Management system up to date regarding provider credentialing so claims are held or released appropriately based on credentialing status with insurances.
    • Is willing and able to perform physician billing related functions when time allows.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all information.
    • Provide exemplary customer service.
    • Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, department heads, and members of third-party insurance carriers required.
    • Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
    • Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint.
    • Completes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
