    Description

AWS Brand & Creative is on a mission to establish AWS as the world"s undisputed leader in AI and technology - shaping how customers, developers, and prospective customers perceive, trust, and choose AWS. We are seeking a Creative Program Manager for Global Events who combines sharp program execution with creative sensibility and a passion for delivering world-class brand experiences at scale.

This is not a role for someone content to simply track timelines. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, drives complex creative workstreams from concept through delivery, and knows what it takes to bring a brand to life in physical and digital environments that shift customer perception. You will own the marketing execution and measurable brand impact of the Kernel brand update across the Global Events portfolio - including re:Invent - defining how the new AWS brand comes to life on-site so it shifts perception of AWS as a leader in AI and technology.

The right candidate moves fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on execution. They have the operational rigor to manage complex, multi-workstream event programs and the creative judgment to ensure brand integrity, defend bold experiential ideas, and drive alignment across internal teams and external agency partners at every stage

    Key job responsibilities

Event Brand Activation & Creative Execution

    • Drive the execution of creative services and translation of the AWS brand for the Global Events portfolio, including re:Invent - encompassing event experience, on-site brand expression, and messaging that ladder to brand foundations
    • Independently manage end-to-end creative workflows for complex onsite campaigns, toolkits, and playbooks of large-scale initiatives with global impact
    • Drive consistent adoption of AWS brand guidance among cross-Amazon partners contributing to events, ensuring brand adherence across all event dimensions
    • Develop and optimize the marketing and creative services approach for event brand moments, auditing effectiveness and surfacing insights that influence broader brand and event strategy

    Program & Stakeholder Management

    • Proactively partner with key event stakeholders to define success criteria and measurement approach for event brand activations, connecting initiatives to drive brand perception, awareness, and consideration
    • Manage campaign alignment meetings and creative reviews with senior stakeholders and partners; provide clear, concise communication (briefs, creative reviews, MBR/QBR, go-to-market plans, post-mortems)
    • Proactively mitigate risk and manage scope to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery; clear blockers (path to green) and escalate appropriately
    • Deep dive into project requirements, gaining understanding of needs for projects that may be ambiguous

    Agency & Vendor Management

    • Partner with and manage internal creative teams and external agency partners from concept through delivery across multiple digital content types
    • Manage creative asset production and delivery across digital and brand channels, including localization workflows
    • For multi-country initiatives, collaborate with partners across locales to share learnings, identify bottlenecks, and support global execution
    • Lead agency and vendor coordination including scope definition, resourcing, budget/PO management, and performance accountability

    Operational Excellence & Innovation

    • Own overarching team workflows and processes in partnership with creative leads, campaign managers, and business partners; continue to define and improve existing processes and utilize tool solutions for better efficiency
    • Proactively collect and share best practices and playbooks with creatives and campaign teams; build reusable mechanisms (playbooks, briefing/review templates)
    • Embrace and advance AI adoption - leveraging AI tools and agentic workflows to increase the speed, quality, and scale of the work, and helping the team adopt new ways of working

    About the team

Our mission is to establish and advance AWS as the world"s undisputed leader in AI and technology, shaping how customers, developers, and prospective customers perceive, trust, and choose AWS, while empowering the entire AWS Marketing organization to deliver brand-consistent, strategically inventive, and creatively excellent work at scale.

We work backwards from our end customers: business decision-makers, developers and builders, and technical leaders who are sophisticated, skeptical of marketing, and increasingly bombarded with AI claims from every direction.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
