Department Overview

The creative studio is responsible for the visual strategy of Motorola Solutions, bringing to life the company's rich history in innovation and commitment to helping keep communities and businesses safe, productive and thriving. Our customers are everyday heroes - from police officers and firefighters to utility workers and educators - and we proudly tell their stories through thoughtful campaigns that span marketing, media, employee engagement, events, digital and social experiences and other stakeholder communications.

Job Description

Our creative studio is searching for a Creative Operations Traffic Manager who will manage cross-functional intake, triage incoming creative requests, and serve as the primary liaison for internal clients across design, video, and multimedia projects. In this role, you will act as the front door to the creative team-ensuring project briefs are complete, setting expectations on scope and timing, and routing requests across the studio to streamline execution and maintain project momentum. You will report to the Production Manager.

Be Driven

• Manage the day-to-day intake, triage, and assignment of incoming creative requests across design, video, digital, and motion graphics.
• Serve as the primary operational connector between internal business partners and the creative studio, ensuring clear briefs, defined scopes, and aligned timelines.
• Monitor project schedules, milestone progress, and asset delivery to ensure projects stay on time and on brand.
• Work closely with creative and production management leads to maintain visibility into studio bandwidth and resource availability during task assignment.

Be Conceptual

• Partner with internal clients during the kickoff stage to translate business needs into actionable, fully baked creative briefs.
• Demonstrate a strong foundational understanding of creative production workflows across print, digital, and video/multimedia to accurately scope effort and timelines.

Be Empathetic

• Act as a clear, communicative liaison between internal clients and creative staff, managing expectations on scope, bandwidth, and turnaround times with tact and clarity.
• Navigate shifting business priorities with flexibility, helping re-triage incoming requests when urgent business needs arise.

Specific Knowledge and Skills

• 3+ years of creative operations, traffic management, or producer experience within an agency or internal creative studio.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Strong foundational understanding of creative production processes across static design, digital/social, and video/multimedia formats.
• Proven experience managing project intake, creative briefing, and internal client communications.
• Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills to handle pushback constructively when managing client expectations, rush requests, or competing deadlines.
• Hands-on experience with project management and workflow management software (e.g., Hive, Asana, Workfront, Monday.com).
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Familiarity with design and video tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma) to understand asset requirements and formats.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• 3+ years of creative operations, traffic management, or producer experience within an agency or internal creative studio.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
