Job Title: Apparel Designer Fleece, Knits, Sport & Swimwear
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 4+ Months
Type: Full-Time, Contract

Description:
Responsible for creating original concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as a result of interpreting fashion trends. Produces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designs. Analyzes fashion trends. Partners with sourcing and materials development. May provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions. Typically reports to Design Director. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, strong sketching ability, and the technical expertise to independently lead fittings and develop tech packs. The ideal candidate should also have design experience in fleece, knits, sport, and swimwear.
