About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly analytical and solutions-oriented Sr. Application Strategist with deep expertise in the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) and Bloomberg AIM. This role is critical to supporting our trading operations and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze, optimize, and support workflows within CRIMS, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between business users and IT for all CRD and Bloomberg AIM related initiatives, applying critical thinking to bridge technical and business needs.
Analyze and document trading workflows, compliance rules, and portfolio management processes within CRIMS and Bloomberg AIM, identifying gaps and proposing effective solutions.
Configure and maintain CRIMS and Bloomberg AIM modules including Order Management, Compliance, and Portfolio Management, using a problem-solving mindset to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and compliance teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient system solutions.
Lead testing, validation, and deployment of CRIMS updates and enhancements, proactively identifying potential issues and resolving them before implementation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to trade execution, compliance alerts, and data integration, leveraging analytical skills to diagnose root causes.
Coordinate with Charles River support and internal teams for workflow changes, system upgrades, and patches, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and change requests, with attention to detail and logical organization.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience working with Charles River CRIMS and Bloomberg AIM in a business systems analyst role.
Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
Strong understanding of investment management operations, trading workflows, and compliance processes.
Experience with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and integration with upstream/downstream systems.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex systems and workflows.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
Experienced technology professional working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred:
Experience working directly with Traders, Investment Management teams, and Software Engineers
Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
CRD training or certification in Charles River modules.
