About the Opportunity:
Overview
We are seeking a Senior CRD Implementation Consultant to support a large financial services organization through a multi-phase investment technology transformation. The consultant will focus on Middle Office, IBOR, and investment operations and will be responsible for helping define requirements, develop solutions, and drive implementation workstreams forward.
The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient CRD implementation professional who understands both the technology and the investment-management business. This individual should be comfortable challenging requirements, identifying gaps, and providing an external perspective based on prior CRD implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support CRD implementation workstreams across Middle Office and IBOR.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define and document requirements.
Help translate business requirements into practical CRD solutions.
Provide expertise across Middle Office, IBOR, ABOR, and investment operations.
Assess existing CRD capabilities against business requirements and identify gaps.
Help determine where to leverage existing CRD capabilities versus where customization or additional development may be required.
Work closely with CRD and internal technology teams on solution design and implementation.
Provide an external perspective based on experience with other CRD implementations and investment-management organizations.
Help identify potential implementation issues and recommend practical solutions.
Support testing, validation, and UAT activities as required.
Help drive the assigned workstream forward and take ownership of deliverables.
Work effectively across business and technology teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Support the organization's broader transition toward future-state Middle Office / IBOR capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Strong Charles River Development (CRD) implementation experience.
Significant experience working with Middle Office functions and workflows.
Strong understanding of IBOR and ABOR concepts and the relationship between them.
Experience within investment management, asset management, or financial services.
Strong understanding of investment operations and the trade/investment lifecycle.
Experience gathering and defining business and technical requirements.
Ability to assess existing system capabilities and identify functional or technical gaps.
Strong solutioning and implementation experience.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a workstream.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to bridge business requirements and technology solutions.
Experience working in highly customized CRD environments.
Ability to hit the ground running without requiring significant ramp-up time.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IBOR/ABOR reconciliation and related investment operations processes.
Experience supporting large-scale CRD transformations or migrations.
Experience with CRD APIs, integrations, or related technical architecture.
Experience working directly with CRD or other implementation partners.
Experience supporting UAT, testing, and validation.
Experience identifying opportunities to simplify or rationalize existing customizations.
Prior experience providing an independent/external perspective to an investment-management organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is more than a CRD technical resource. They should understand how Middle Office and IBOR processes work from a business perspective and be able to translate that knowledge into practical CRD solutions.
This person should be able to walk into an established program, quickly understand the current state, identify gaps and risks, and independently drive a workstream forward. They should be comfortable working with senior business and technology stakeholders and challenging existing approaches when their experience suggests a better solution.
