About the Role

This position is crucial for assembling, testing, and disassembling track-mounted crawler cranes at various job sites. This role exists to ensure cranes are built safely and efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of construction and industrial projects.

This position is remote, however, heavy travel will be required and applicants must live in AL, GA, TN, or MS. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble crawler crane tracks, car body, counterweights, and lattice boom sections.
  • Use hand tools, hammers, and pins to secure structural components and rig hoist lines or pendants.
  • Repair hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical issues on-site.
  • Perform safety inspections, including pre-operational, monthly, and yearly checks on cranes.
  • Drive company vehicles to various regional or national job locations as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in heavy construction or machinery maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with basic hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards in crane operations.
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Pass drug test and background check.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing, crouching, bending, climbing, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Work outside in all weather conditions.

Work Environment

  • Work primarily at active construction sites and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Heavy travel required - drive during daytime and nighttime hours as needed.
  • Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
