    Crater I - 2nd Shift 5:00 PM -3:30 AM

    Job Summary 

    This position isafora Shipping/Receivinginour business support group.This position understands the transportation process and its interface with business and production processes,warehousingor shipping. Effective time management is essential,as iscritical thinking and the ability to solve problems effectively. You must be able to speak and write effectively, as wellasassimilate information from the written word and make judgments based on the costs and benefits of various activities. This personwill direct, orassistin directing, the allocation of both incoming supplies and outbound finished products and stay on top of developing transportation technologies to minimize the cost, both in time and cash, to move products. This position will also provide supportto the inventory control team, schedulers,andthematerialhandlers throughout thecoil plant.

    Position Responsibilities: 

    • Ensure Environmental, Health and Safety rules/regulations are adhered to during the shift.

    • Responsible forexecutingestablishedmaterial handlingprocessesto ensure materialarereceived andlocatedproperly andin a timely manner.

    • Transportation requires attention to detail in contracts and transportation requirements, such as pricing discounts or fees.

    • Responsible forverifyingthe qualityof the product that is receivedwithin the shift,operatingwithinthe company’s quality systems,processesand procedures.

    • Monitor,measureand report onreceivingrelated process performance,andgeneral issues.

    • Ensuregood communicationis givenbothverballyand/or writtenback to leadership when necessary.

    • Workclosely withSupervisorsand Production Schedulersto ensureshippingmethodsareeffectiveandcommunications toolsare timely/effective.

    • Maintainan active role in thecompany’scontinuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company.

    • Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace. 

    • Maintains an attitude which consistentlyrepresentsthe organizational culture, including:the mission,visionand core attributes.

    • Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.  

    • Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination. 

    Requirements: 

    • General Computer skills. 

    • Microsoft Office(Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)

    • Good Communication Skills - Written and Verbal

    • Highly Motivated

    • Work Independentlyand alsoPart of a Team

    • Deadline Driven

    • Able to Plan, Organize, and Prioritize Tasks

    Job Qualifications 

    • High School graduate or GED equivalent.

    • Associatedegreepreferred.

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.  The ability to effectively navigate an ERP system is a plus.

    • Minimum 3 years workingexperiencein asafetysensitive industrialor manufacturingsetting.
