    Crane Technician 

    Knoxville, TN | Remote when not Traveling  

    Full-Time | $30 – 50/hr, depending on experience

    *Overtime paid at 1.5x; 2.0x pay for weekend hour*

     

    Summary:
    Seeking a highly skilled Crane Technician who will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment.  

    Responsibilities:
    • Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
    • Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
    • Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
    • Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and office in repairing equipment as needed.
    • Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
    • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
    • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
    • Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
    • Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
    • Responsible for company equipment including company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
    Requirements:
    • Hands-on experience troubleshooting overhead cranes, hoists, and/or scissor lifts
    • Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits
    • Must not be afraid of heights, could be working 50-70ft high
    • 80% travel during the week, 90% local and should be home every night
    • Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner
    • Required to use own hand tools and meter
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
    Preferred:
    • Associate’s degree with Concentration in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology
