Crane Operator
Location: Kearney, NE
Pay: $20 22/hour depending on experience
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM
Saturday Hours: 8: 00 AM 12: 00 PM
Are you an experienced heavy equipment operator looking for a hands-on role with a stable schedule? We're seeking a Crane Operator to safely move, sort and load scrap metal, vehicles and salvaged materials in a busy salvage yard environment.
What You'll Do
Operate cranes and heavy equipment to move and sort materials
Load and unload scrap metal, vehicles and salvage materials
Use specialized attachments such as electromagnets and grapples
Organize and relocate materials throughout the yard
Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
Assist with general yard operations as needed
What We're Looking For
Previous crane operating experience required
Heavy equipment operating experience required
Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
Outdoor salvage yard setting
Exposure to all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow and wind
Physical work required in addition to equipment operation
Active, hands-on work environment
