Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator to operate a boom truck / mobile hydraulic crane in the Detroit/Hamtramck area.
The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience operating boom trucks and mobile hydraulic cranes and be comfortable safely handling lifts and materials in a variety of jobsite environments.
Pay & Schedule
- $30+/hour to start, based on experience and qualifications
- 1st shift
- Overtime available
- Full-time position
- Consistent work in the Detroit/Hamtramck area
Requirements
- Prior crane operating experience is required
- Experience operating boom trucks and/or mobile hydraulic cranes
- Ability to safely operate crane equipment and perform lifts
- Strong understanding of proper rigging, load handling, and jobsite safety
- Ability to inspect equipment and identify potential safety issues
- Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with ground personnel
- Must be able to work safely in a team environment
- Valid driver's license required
- Applicable crane/operator certifications or credentials are a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely operate boom truck and mobile hydraulic crane equipment
- Perform lifting and material-handling operations according to jobsite requirements
- Inspect crane and related equipment before operation
- Properly position and set up equipment for safe lifting
- Follow load charts, operating procedures, and safety requirements
- Work with riggers, laborers, and other crew members to safely complete lifts
- Maintain awareness of jobsite conditions and potential hazards
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow all applicable OSHA, DOT, and company safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
