Craftsman Machinist Technician

• Perform all phases of part machining including:
• • Review part/component/system technical data for completeness and accuracy
  • Process definition & development of documentation
  • Identify tooling, jig and fixture requirements & support/input/review of engineering designs
  • Perform set-up tasks
  • Rough and finish machining
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/Training (both required and desired):
• • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
    
    

• Experience:
• • 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required

• Security:
• • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

• Physical Requirements

• • Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machinery
  • Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controls
  • Perform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements
  • Prolonged periods of standing while operating machinery
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time
