Brasfield & Gorrie is looking for a Craft Workforce Development Trainer to deliver hands-on training and skill development across Northwest GA Power Generation project sites. This is a site-based role focused on directly instructing craft employees in the skills, certifications, and knowledge they need to perform their work safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
• Deliver hands-on and classroom training across trade disciplines, including safety, rigging, equipment operation, and craft certifications.
• Develop and update training content and curricula to reflect current project needs and trade standards.
• Conduct new hire craft orientations and onboarding training at project sites.
• Administer certification programs and skills assessments for craft employees.
• Partner with superintendents and foremen to identify skill gaps and address them through targeted training.
• Identify craft employees showing interest in advancement and connect them with additional development opportunities.
• Coordinate with B&G's Field Training Center to align site-level training with company-wide programs.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification tracking for site craft workforce.
Education / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications & Experience
Required
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a trainer, instructor, or journeyman in a construction or skilled trades environment.
• Ability to develop and deliver technical training content to adult learners in a field setting.
• Hands-on knowledge of one or more craft disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, rigging, or similar).
• Comfortable working in and around an active heavy civil construction environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Background as an instructor at a trade school, apprenticeship program, or union training center.
• Familiarity with rigging, flagging/spotter, forklift, or other craft certification programs.
• Experience with craft workforce development programs in power generation, industrial, or heavy civil construction.
