Responsibilities:
As an Operator, youll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services uninterrupted. Based in (location), youll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment and quality control testing, report compilation, recordkeeping, and adhere to compliance with policies and procedures. Youll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise in municipal facilities. Youll diagnose operating problems, monitor and control adjustments and determine proper rates in the treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent. Youll also collect samples, maintain shift logs and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, youlltake actionto ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation and scheduled weekend coverage. Employees must be available to respond to emergency callouts outside of normal working hours when assigned. Occasional work on holidays may be required to support continuous operation of the wastewater facilities and collection system.
